There is no direct import file type that allows to import Navisworks files into Inventor. It is possible to use 3DS Max as intermediate translator: In Navisworks Manage or Simulate, on the Output ribbon click FBX. In the FBX Options dialog box adjust the settings as desired and click OK.

Navisworks Freedom extends the whole-project view to all project stakeholders.
